I recently worked with Leslie in designing the back splash for our kitchen.
I stopped in your store on a Saturday morning because I was told there were tile places out on Rutland, and after driving around and not knowing where to start, I came into your place. I was looking at tiles and feeling a bit bewildered, when Leslie asked if I needed some help. I had some Mexican tiles I wanted to use but I wasn’t sure how to use them or what tiles would go with them. I showed her some photos on my iPhone, and she suggested white subway tiles and gave me some samples to take home and try. When I brought them back, I showed her more photos of the kitchen, and since we had a lot of wall to cover, she helped me decide on larger 4″x8″ white subway tiles and said I should put the Mexican tiles behind the range all the way to the ceiling.
She was able to picture in her head what the kitchen would look
like better than I could, and I trusted her judgement and experience. She is
very nice and not too pushy. She ordered the tiles, and they came in a
couple of days. My contractor’s guy installed them, and we are very
satisfied. The kitchen looks beautiful. I sent Leslie pictures, and she said
that she was going to forward them to you. I just wanted to also email you
and tell you that I found her so nice and helpful, and the tiles a good
price, that I didn’t even go look at other tile places.
I had my home carpeted on July 18th by your company. The house is now for lease. That, in and of itself, is no big deal. What is a big deal is that I am here in California and had to start from scratch on an emergency kind of basis to make it happen there in Texas, knowing no one in the business in the area. Who is one to trust from 2,000 miles away, to go and measure your empty home and to make an honest bid and follow through with but a telephone in hand?
I type in “Mohawk Carpet 78750” and Google gave me about a dozen names to call. After calls to six businesses, I had it narrowed to three and told my family I had already made my choice simply after the conversation and before measurements and price had been discussed. They asked why and I responded that sometimes, some people just emanate integrity and competence and you can just feel it.
And so it was with Robin Anderson. At the end of the day, all of her work was prompt, efficient, crisp, and well done beginning to end. Ruby from Dispatch was superb. The installation crew was early and did a great job. Congratulations on a job well done all around.

I want to thank you for the tile replacement job that was done at our home by one of your employees. Your employee, Fred, did an excellent job. In addition to the quality of work, he was as courteous as any worker that I have ever encountered. He worked tirelessly and was also extremely neat. I thank you and your company for continuing to deliver the best tile work in Austin!!
Dear Mr. Patino,
We have had the pleasure of working with your company and your outstanding associates on several different occasions over the last two years. High-Tech has provided and installed carpet, new distressed wood floors, and tile for outdoor patios. We have always been very pleased with the installation and results.
In 2009 your company installed a slate tile covering for our second floor balcony. In less than six months the slate tile began to flake at a much higher and more severe rate than other slate tile we have seen. We called your company to express our concern and your Operations Manager, Brian Hayes, immediately responded and had one of your service supervisors take a look at the condition. Initially your supervisor thought that the tile was not sealed properly and set up a time to have the tile resealed. The resealing did not solve the problem as the tile continued to flake in large pieces at an alarming rate. I called Brian Hayes once again and he personally came to our home to get a firsthand look. Brian’s opinion was that the tile was certainly flaking at a very high rate and that the batch of tile used must have been defective. Brian immediately offered to replace the tile under warranty and asked us to come to your showroom to select our new tile. He was most helpful when we visited the showroom in explaining the characteristics of each tile we considered. We selected the quartz slate tile that we used on our downstairs patio. The removal of the flaking slate tile and installation of the new tile was well coordinated and timely. We could not be more pleased with the results.
High-Tech is an outstanding example of a company that strives to make their customers happy and always stands behind their work. We had recommended your company to several people even before you handled this defective tile situation because of the good experience we had with High-Tech. We now tell anyone considering flooring or tile about your excellent leadership that allows your associates to focus on the customer. Thank you for the great experience we had working with your company.
